Just after sound check of the first ever The Ocean show in Athens Greece Metalzone.gr’s Elena Mihailidou and Vasilis Mazaris conducted an interview with the band’s main man Robin Staps.

While cuddling a cat that seemed to be a great fan of Robin he talks to Metalzone about their latest astounding album Precambrian, the process of the recording, how he combines diverse elements into the extreme sound, their upcoming touring plans.

Robin talks about how he would like to make a DVD for The Ocean but not a typical DVD, something more like a David Lynch movie. He also reveals that if he were to co operate with an artist he would like that to be Diamanda Galas or Tori Amos.

He also talks about his relationship with the Greek elements that inspire him and the possible concept he has in mind for their next album
