DYNAMITE - SEBASTIAN HED-PLIKAS GUITARS

Metalzone.gr: First of all we’d like to welcome you in metalzone.gr. Let’s take it from the top. Give us in brief the bio of DYNAMITE, the story so far…

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: We started the band about two years ago with high ambitions and the same idea of what we should be and sound like – Powerful and explosive Rock n’ Roll.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: Blackout Station is your second release and already from a different label than Lock N Load, why is that?
\r\n
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: We felt that High Roller Records could help us in a better way; they have a bigger market and a bigger reach.

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: In what ways is Blackout Station different from your debut album and what would you say are the strong features of the release?

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: We have become better songwriters and musicians since we started the band. The songs are more  well-written and there is a wider range on Blackout Station, the groovy songs are groovier and the heavy songs are heavier.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: You’ve probably heard this  a lot but you sound a lot like the legends ACDC with a southern twist. How have you formed the trademark sound of the band? What influences do you carry into your music?

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: We get inspired by a lot of bands, obviously AC/DC which is a band we all love but also bands like Rolling Stones, Rose Tattoo, Accept and Kiss. On this album I believe we were able to dig a little deeper into our sound and I’m sure that our trademark sound will grow more and more.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: Was it easy getting a record deal? Does the fact that you sound ACDCish help?

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: The idea of how we wanted to do was clear from the beginning – write songs for a full length album, record it and deliver an album ready for release. I believe that our plan made things a lot easier when we approached record labels.
\r\n
\r\nMetalzone.gr: Tell us about your upcoming touring plans.
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: What I can tell you now is that after the festival shows we did in Germany we will go on a small tour in Europe. After that I think we will do some club shows in Sweden but we want to play more in Europe and in some new countries, maybe Greece?

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: Recently you created the video for “Burn It Down” with the guest appearance of UDO. How did that come up and what purposes does it serve?

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: The idea came up when we were planning the video, there was something missing and we needed a bad ass guy to fill the gap. UDO was the first name that came up and fortunately we could make it happen.

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: What are your expectations for the future. Looking back on what you’ve achieved so far, have you made it, what’s the next goal?

\r\n\r\n

Sebastian Hed-Plikas: The goals we have set up so far, we have achieved. Our main goal now is to tour more in Europe and on other continents.

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: Let’s say you have the chance to introduce your album to your listeners. What would you say?
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: You will understand this album from the start, it’s head-on rock n’ roll songs that you will remember after listening to the album once.
\r\nAnd the second time you hear it you want to sing along.

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: Do you have any favorite songs in Blackout Station and why?
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: I have songs that I like in different ways on Blackout Station.
\r\nThe feel-good song “Hail Rock n’ Roll”, the raw “Talk Is Cheap”, the groovy “Burn It Down” and the feeling in “Wild And Untame” that shows a different side of us.

\r\n\r\n

Metalzone.gr: What’s the best part of doing live appearances, how do the fans react to your music? Any crowd favorites among your set list?
\r\n
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: DYNAMITE is a live band, much more so than a studio band. We love to be on stage and that feeling is contagious, the best part is when you get that connection with the crowd and leave them with a great feeling after the show.
\r\n
\r\n Metalzone.gr: We’d like to thank you for your time and wish you all the best in your upcoming plans. What message do you want to send the metalzone.gr readers?
\r\n
\r\nSebastian Hed-Plikas: We hope to see you soon and do some shows in Greece.
\r\nAnd get the new album. It is a good one and you will like it, guaranteed!
