Last Day Here - From Pieces Created

\r\nI’ll be blunt from the start. This release is the best self financed album I’ve received since the debut album of Synesthesia. Last Day Here come from Slovenia and "From Pieces Created" is their first work. As the title suggests this work is established from many diverse pieces, which come from the soul of the musicians in the band. When all these pieces combine, and inspiration is the mixer, the result is what we listen in this album. \r\n

\r\nLast Day Here’s music isn’t original. It’s a mixture of Godsmack, Nickelback, and Linkin Park with a Hardcore mentality which isn’t rough in it’s extremeness. However the fact that they are not original isn’t a bad thing for this band. They have managed to maintain their influences up to one point and elaborate on them to give out their own personal style. A style that makes them both original, and recognisable. It’s truly admirable the way each song is fulfilled. We listen to a sequence of catchy riffs in a way the listener is hooks on to them and ends up in a merciless head banging. Maturity and deep knowledge of the “sport” is obvious throughout the album and in every note of the songs. Either it is short rhythmic riffs, either it is the melodic passages in the choruses the result is equally interesting and in no way tiring. One of the most powerful features of the band are the vocal lines of Marko Duplisak, which in many parts encolors the result. It reminds us of Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, but his voice color differs which wins you over and the result is of higher quality. On top of this we have an amazing production, with clarity in the sound and vastness which is something that usually lacks from self financed bands. It would also be unjust to leave out the fact that the lyrics of the songs are deep, and can reach out to anyone.

\r\nLast Day Here are Slovenia’s auspicious band. I am confident that we will be seeing them really soon in the big stages around Europe, and to tell you the truth I wonder how come they are still unsigned. I am confident it’s a matter of time. I wish everyone who can gather up his pieces could make an album like that. An album with well established tracks, and so much feeling. We wish them all the best and we encourage you to support them as they deserve it.
