\r\nKatra is the name of the band’s singer, who, apart from being so elegant, has also an amazing voice.
\r\nHer singing is mesmerizing, while she sings that when we want something very much, it can only be “one wish away”. This song is like a soundtrack of a very beautiful fairytale; both Katra ‘s vocals and the acoustic guitars create such a very sweet sense, that you don’t want to stop listening to the song.

\r\nFour years ago, four bullies from Norway that already had left their previous bands(Old Funeral, Grimfist, Taake, Borknagar, etc) came up to the conclusion that the music they wanted to play should be simple yet essential. Without too much mumbling and unnecessary stuff. So, they created The Battalion and play ass kicking music. It is that simple.

\r\n Ιtalian death metal has picked up pace the last few years, wether it’s modern, brutal, or even more classic, the bar has been raised a lot! With bands like Hour Of Penance, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Vomit The Soul and Septycal Gorge being quality representatives the italians can be proud of some really worthy acts. The addition of Karnak to the bunch is mandatory, although their discography is moving rather slow(3 full lengths in 13 years), as their manage to draw attention with their freshest release called "Dismemberment".

\r\n     Having released a demo (At the Bottom of the River -  2007), Furva Ambiguitas (=Latin for “obscure ambiguity”), the Russian duo (Anton Mrak, Terra Teratos) releases their first full – length album, entitled In Aticulo Mortis. In an artistic environment of stalking confidence, remains to be seen if the album ‘s obscurity is surpassed by its ambiguity.

\r\nHaving a name like Inbreeding Rednecks gives only the right impression: this is nothing more and nothing less than death metal! Plain and simple. You would expect them to be hailing from Texas or some place similar but these beloved brutallers come Denmark. Fine by that!

\r\n Yes, I know that this whole labeling thing has gone a bit too far which is why I’m trying to avoid it everyway possible. I have to give some kind of musical description though, for the band being reviewed(bad choice of words?). German act Angels And Enemies go behind the so called metalcore label. Rotten candy? Truth be told, this genre has somewhat been overrun.

\r\nShock and awe! There is no other way to describe what I felt during the first listening session of Pensées Nocturnes’s second album. Without any previous experience of their/his music, I find myself face to face with one the most atmospheric examples of art one can witness..

\r\nThe Ocean released the album “Heliocentric” just a few months ago and here they are with a brand new album out already. “Anthropocentric” is based on the same concept as the previous album; what’s really exciting is the fact that the band provides theories about the creation of the human kind and also it analyses them and makes conclusions as well.
