Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg, frontman of Swedish melodic death metal legends At The Gates, has died, his family confirmed to SVT Nyheter. Tomas has been battling Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. He was 52 years of age.
A month ago, on August 15, At The Gates shared an update, revealing that “in early May, Tomas experienced a health setback. Since then, he has been hospitalised and has been receiving dedicated care in a specialized ward where he is being closely monitored around the clock.”
