81DB - Evaluation

\r\n 81db sent us their 4 tracks-promo EP, which was self-financed, about a year and a half ago. The feedback was very positive, and everything was showing that the band was very promising.
\r\nTheir debut album, “Evaluation”, gives a full idea about the band’s music profile as it contains 14 compositions. I usually avoid referring to other bands when it comes to introduce a new one, however I’m going to use a couple of band names just to approach their music style. So, the first name is System of a Dawn; a big part, maybe the biggest part, of the compositions is based on their technicity. The second name is Tool; there is the same psychedelic atmosphere during the “soft” moments of the songs.
\r\nFor those who are not familiar with the band, all of the members come from Italy, apart from Kostas Ladopoulos, who is from Greece and he actually emphasizes his origin by using buzuki on some spots. He is also responsible for the mixing and the production as well. Very high quality work!
\r\nThe more you listen to the album, the more you discover things to love about it. I think that they manage to make something different and to give us a very interesting proposal of modern, alternative rock/metal.\r\n
