AGNOSTIC FRONT - My Life, My Way

AGNOSTIC FRONT - My Life, My Way

\r\nThe Hardcore spirit is a die hard case, the recent albums of Death Before Dishonor, Terror and so many others are the living proof. In this bunch come the addition of Agnostic Front’s new cd. Down to the core fans will probably disagree with me but I try to view this from the music perspective alone. I had a really good time listening to the new yorkers’ fresh stuff. I think this is what counts the most, ain’t it?

\r\n In almost 34 minutes of duration, your face gets pulverised by 13 songs of yelling, moshing, "must play live" hardcore/punk that will get you off the chair and out of the window in no time. Songs like "A Mi Fanera" and "Us Against The World" are doomed to be praised by stagedivers when played on stage. Sweaty bodies hit the floor and mosh their very existence! A clear vision striking your eyes when listening to "My Life, My Way". The known recipe is written in this book too: groove, the right feeling, Roger Miret’s recognisable voice, guitat themes that are simple and catchy. I’m not an all around knower of their full discography but I think the new album is a worthy follow up to their course so far. You won’t find anything "bad" here, there’s fast stuff, mid tempo stuff, two step parts to ignite the dance floor, hardcore dancers know all about it.

\r\n On the technical part, you will find no surprises either. An excellent sound supports the songs, everything is where it’s supposed to be. There is no room for experimenting anyway, this is about attitude and the passion the music is played. And you can find this passion in quantities in "My Life, My Way" despite the many years weighing the band’s back. I guess there is no reason to tire you more, things can’t get simpler, you will dig good moshing music. Listen to it!\r\n
