Ancestral Stigmata - Second Son of God

What do we have here? Here we have our neighbours from Italy, Ancestral Stigmata and they play a mix of Swedish death metal along with some thrash and clear references in Death.

\r\nThe band exist since 1993 (yes they are an old band). They have released one album so far though ("Spirit"2000). So they return after 10 years with an album that is great just for the music it offers. Their new album entitled "Second Son of God ", comes to us after all this time to remind us that there are some bands that they are loyal to the traditional sound and the music they produce is a result of dedication and love for this kind of art. I heard many good ideas in here. Old Swedish style death metal, clear references in Death (like the 8th track entitled "Remember Chuck") folded in an artistique way..In a way that i heard and smiled inside me. Fortumately it is not another failed attempt to copy the already played music. Their mood reminded me of Death and i saw my past years again before my eyes but not in the bad way present bands use to give to us. This is a great work that in 2011 stands proud without the fear to be blamed for copy-music situations and all these stuff but with real music mood and full of energy. The production of this album is very good, clear and sharp. Guitars and bass have traditional crystal sound and the guys hopefuly play in an accurate way, in a tight way, concluding in an pretty nice result as this music demands.

\r\nSo i don’t have much to say about them. Check the Italians out. A great surprise!
