Angband - Visions of the seeker

Angband - Visions of the seeker

The first (if not the only) thing that makes a big impression about Angband is that they come from a country with absolutely no tradition in Metal, Iran.
\r\n“Visions of the Keeper” is their second album and successor to their very bad debut “Rising from Apadama”. Angband are truing to produce power/progressive metal but unfortunately they fail to do so. Their sound is poor and their compositions indifferent. To put it differently Angband sound like a band of fifteen year old kids trying to play something between NWOBHM and Iced Earth. They also try to keep our interest with some more technical parts but still the outcome is rather disappointing. What is more, their vocalist Ashkan Yazdani sounds like Matt Barlow after a very bad cold while the production is only making things worst.
\r\nGenerally, Angband are making an honest effort but the outcome will not be missed but those who choose not to listen to them.
