Black River - Black'n'Roll

\r\nPoland is known around the globe for bands/beasts such as Decapitated, Behemoth, Yattering, Vader, and so on. So, when this promo cd came to my hands I did a powerful reset to whatever I took for granted about this country’s ability to "export" bands with such creative potentials. Blastbeats and evil riffing is not the case here. To give a better introduction I will merely use some key words to help you out: beers, bra’s, analogic sound, bar crusing, cowboy hats, jack daniels, denim. This is ROCK ladies and gentlemen!

\r\n When listening to "Black’n’Roll" for the first time you I used to stop after each song to say: "fuck! this was amazing!", only I ended up saying it after every song until the entire album came to an end! It’s hard rock/rock’n’roll more or less the kind of move that Chrome Division did some years ago, only a bit slower(for the sake of the boogie thing!). Kick ass songs like the self-titled and " Isabel" simply cannot let you not to groove yourself out! I listened to this album twice without catching a breath and it felt like a shot from heaven! The songs stand out easily, one by one, coming from experienced musicians even though the band counts only 2 years of existence. They consiste of past and current members of(hold your breath and count!):Crystal Abyss, Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, Neolithic, Pyorrhoea, Vader, Sunwheel, Masachist, Hunter, Faust and some more.

\r\nStill, despite the fact that all this seems a bit complicated because those people played in extreme acts, the result they put out is an amazing second album with an incredible sound and above all, SONGS, something that seems to be missing from bands these days. I suggest this album not only to fans of the "genre" but also to anyone interested in good music with hooks, sing-alongs and a boogie mood. Fill your glasses and roll!\r\n
