BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE - Fever

Bullet for My Valentine - Fever

\r\nExpressing your opinion about a band with such a controversial background is a risk in a sense. Bullet for My Valentine is a band that no doubt has been promoted a lot. Definitely, there have been intense reactions about their music in the past, as for some people they are too trendy to even bother talking about them, far less listening to them.
\r\nBeyond the charming faces, the looks, the whole attitude, which sometimes in emo/sweet and sometimes aggressive, what really matters is the music. When a band comes from the music genre which is generally labeled as “Modern Metal”, using various elements in its music is for granted, plus, among others, it will make catchy –too modern/pop songs. This is a part of the Metal music nowadays, though.
\r\nSo, on the album “Fever”, which is the band’s new release, Bullet for My Valentine seem to be more accurate regarding their music style. Their music is more clear and straight compared to the past. The song that I appealed to me the most with no second thought (and no second time listening to it, actually) is “Your betrayal”. The intro is characteristic, the riffing is absolutely stunning and it gives you a good taste about what follows next. And what is that? Anything but only “Pretty On The Outside”, for sure. All the compositions are powerful, the production is like coming from another planet, and what “fills” and features the songs is the riffs; too many riffs for crazy head banging.
\r\nBullet for My Valentine are still a matter of disputations and probably so they will in the future as well. For the time being, I’m impressed with their work so far, and “Fever” has contributed to that a lot. \r\n
