Buzzoven - Violence from the Vault

\r\n-Buzzoven- was a band formed in 1989 in North Carolina. They started releasing  demos and EPs from 1991 and since now they  have released three full length albums. They have been characterized as one of the founders of Sludge Metal. This band shocked a lot of people  back in the 90’s with their sound and image. Although the band split up in 1999 there are a lot of unreleased material and besides a best of/compilation that was released in 2005 via Alternative Tentacles Records , Relapse Records have managed to find unreleased material from the  past.  \r\n

\r\nA new EP is now ready with the title - Violence from the Vault - that contains five unreleased tracks , recorded after  the -Sore- album Era (1994). Five recordings from some of Buzzoven’s songs. The tracks are all in the well known Buzzoven style. Sludge Metal with heavy tuned distorted guitars, great drumming, nice bass and the perfect vocals of mr. Kirk Fisher. The production is old, nice and rotten and you can feel that the sound comes from the past. The cover of the album is great and shows the devil in the classical Buzzoven  style.  \r\n

\r\n-Buzzoven- are coming straight from the U.S. underground  scene.. Their music was a big inspiration for many other bands. This EP contains some rare recordings and its a great gift from the past for all the fans of Buzzoven. This underground band may not exist, but i still listen a little Buzzoven in all the new Sludge and Stone-Rock bands.    \r\n
