CRAZY LIXX - New Religion

Simply AWESOME!! I could end this review with just this word as I think it perfectly describes the new album of the Swedish sleaze/hard rockers Crazy Lixx but because I am forced to write a few more words I’ll make an exception and I’ll try to describe what is pretty obvious: The reason why “New Religion” is by far the best hard rock release of the year. Crazy Lixx made their debut in 2007 by releasing the exceptional “Loud Minority” sending shivers down the spines to all hard rockers out there, to tell the truth I myself didn’t think that they’ll release something better than that in the future. Well Lixx are back with “New Religion” an album that simply defines the term sleaze/hard rock and I’m telling you, if this album is indeed a new religion, then I pledge allegiance to the new faith and I’m establishing a church as well!
\r\nIt’s unbelievable (and extremely rare) how the listening of an album can change your mood just like that. While you may be troubled and feeling down it puts a wide grin on your face and I state that (having been involved with most of the metal genres) ONLY hard rock can have such influence in mood (at least in mine). With 12 blasting songs that smell of Def Leppard and Motley Crue (hell yeah!) Crazy Lixx simply teach how American (or should I say Swedish?) Hard Rock should be played. I won’t bother commenting on what I liked most in this one cause is really pointless, is like trying to describe why Jena Jameson is attractive! I think the answer is perfectly clear.
\r\nThis one is definitely recommended to all those hard rockers out there who just wanna have fun, especially now that the summer’s getting closer. To those who might have issues that trouble them, this is just the thing, the perfect medicine! So get up and dig up that old Motley Crue T-shirt, gather as many chicks as you can (including their sisters...just in case..) grab some bottles o good old “Jack” and off to the beach!
