Cypecore - Take The Consequence

Cypecore - Take The Consequence

Well Cypecore proves  to be a very interesting case. They hail from Germany leaving their own mark in melodic death/Thrash metal with their second album bearing the most up to date title “Take The Consequence”! Though they are quite recently formed (2006) they sound pretty solid and determined on the course they follow. As for the music, this could be described as a melodic death metal release with a lot of Thrash influences (as usual) especially from the Swedish scene, flirting with bands like Dark Tranquility (mostly) and In Flames and at the same time they hail to Brazilian Thrash bands like Soulfly and Criminal!
\r\nImagine the above mentioned bands having a more industrial approach to their sound and you’ll have a clear picture of Cypecore’s music style.
\r\nThe more I was listening to the album, the easier I was getting to the conclusion that Cypecore are equal to the bands they are influenced by since they sound to have what it takes to be considered a force to reckon. They have pretty powerful songs, amazing performance and, of course the two most important elements that make an album really special. They are bold and true!
\r\nAttila’s growling but yet distinctive voice can easily convince you on every word he spits out, you can sense the passion just like that, while Nils Lesser along with our compatriot Cristoph Rogdakis (Greece Rocks!!) are unleashing hell with their thunderous, neck breaking riffing without much effort. Try listening to the (Dark Tranquility-like) masterpiece “The Balance” or the stunning “Moment Of Impact” with the threatening, whispering words on the verses, a song that sounds like Crematory, at least to my ears or even the lyrically awesome “Torn Apart” in which Attila literally sings his guts out, and you’ll know exactly what I am talking about!
\r\nAll and all “Take The Consequence” is a very decent release which I think the fans of the Swedish death metal scene as well as open minded Thrashers out there should definitely check out! As I mentioned before… Cypecore proves  to be a very interesting case.
