Dizziness - Evocation Of Ancestral Grandeur

\r\n

\r\n  This is an underground release in the black metal\r\ngenre by the Greek act Dizziness.  They\r\nexist since 1998 and this is their first demo. \r\nThe title is “Evocation Of Ancestral Grandeur”, it contains three songs\r\nand lasts fourteen minutes.\r\n

\r\n

\r\n  Even though their name would be more\r\nappropriate for a stoner band, Dizziness play warlike black metal in the forms\r\nof Marduk and Bathory.  The war element\r\nthat appears as a general theme,  is also\r\npresent in their songs.  The tempos are\r\nmid to slightly fast and the music and sound is raw but audible.  The first two songs are decent enough,\r\nwithout presenting something extraordinary. \r\nThe instrumental tune “...As The Centuries Fall” has some good parts but\r\nseems like a song that should have vocals. \r\nAt certain moments they sound tight whilst at some parts their\r\nperformance is looser.\r\n

\r\n

\r\n  There is really nothing else to say about\r\nthis demo, I am expecting something more complete from these lads.  If they try to leave their influences behind\r\nand work on their performance, they will be able to bring out the best in their\r\nmusic.  It is also important to establish\r\ntheir own sound and personality.  As a first\r\nimpression, they seem to be able to take that extra step.  A band can be underground and still create\r\ninteresting music.\r\n
