Dustynation - Echoing Lullabies

Dustynation - Echoing Lullabies

\r\nI discovered this band a couple of years ago, when I found out that they had covered the song “Morbid” (PSYCHOTIC WALTZ). After watching the live video and checking their music via myspace, I couldn’t wait to listen to their debut album..
\r\nMusic genre: Metal. “Just that?” you may wonder.. Can you imagine a band that combines elements from bands such as PAIN OF SALVATION, OPETH, PSYCHOTIC WALTZ, KATATONIA, MY DYING BRIDE, CANDLEMASS or, speaking about their music direction, Progressive, Death and Doom Metal with trippy atmospheric spots, all together structured in a way that you won’t be able “categorize” it? Difficult huh? Well, that’s good because if you don’t check them out you won’t understand what this is all about just by reading, plus, you will miss a great and promising new band. The worst part is, though, that you will miss all this feeling that their music creates. The mood changes in such a wonderful way during the songs, from Opeth-like gloomy and dark atmosphere to a situation where rage and angry outbursts reign. Perfect! Also, the brutal vocals are incredibly combined with the clean ones, which is not very often.
\r\nI really wonder how many hours have they spent for such a great album..I mean, apart from the compositions, they have done an exceptional job in general; production, mixing, artwork..
\r\nIf I could use only a few words to express my opinion about this album that would be, do yourselves a favor and do check it out! \r\n
