Fall Of Empyreum - A Life Spent Dying

Fall Of Empyreum - A Life Spent Dying

\r\nΤhird strike be Fall Of Empyrean and it seems that melancholy’s arrow is deeply stuck within their psychosynthesis. There have beem quite a few empty promises from various labels about their bands being utterly depressing and moody. But they did’nt meet up to our expectations. Some chicks with silicon tits surely don’t bring misery, on the contrary: they can only cheer you up! So, I guess you know where I’m going with this...

\r\n The german sorrow worshipers have no stopping and their new creation sets a high standard among the genre’s bands. Slow, depressing, atmospheric and DEADLY metal that does not focus on temporary solutions just to impress but sees essense right in the eye. Compositions that last as long as they have to, mature and well performed reach up to 47 minutes of pure "entertainment" for fans of the genre. Vocals vary from melodic to really brutal, giving the right feeling. Truly a remarkable voice! In a total of 9 songs Fall Of Empyrean create the soundtrack of this winter and paint a soundscape for their theme: denial of life and submission to death in terms of redemption. Their soundscape is as black as their lyrics, believe me.

\r\n This piece of work is beautifuly completed with a perfectly fitting artwork and a top quality production. Surely not for fans of Helloween or Stratovarious(..), Fall Of Empyreum are capable or reaching the heights of colossus’ like Opeth and Katatonia as they share a lot in common. I’m pretty sure though that they mostly care about putting out their misery into art. The catharsis they must feel must be incredible judging by what I felt after the end of the album. Do not stop after the first listening session. I wanna see heads falling to the ground!\r\n
