Forest Of Shadows - Six Waves of Woe

Forest Of Shadows - Six Waves of Woe

\r\nIn times like these, when life runs faster than we can catch up with, the fact that some musicians tend to create music to travel with, is something beyond my comprehension. Especially when such musicians manage to handle everything around their very creation. This here case is called Forest Of Shadows and the one responsible behind everything you see(!)/hear in Six Waves Of Woe is Niclas Frohagen.
\r\n
\r\n In music terms, Forest Of Shadows do not fit within a specific genre. They walk in the wider spectrum of atmospheric/trippy sound but that’s as much labeling as it can take. The compositions are wide and stretched out and there is no such thing as a "must" or any taboos. Post as some parts, black metal outbursts at others, melodic guitar leads, melodic vocal lines, all in such order that gives an adventorous air over 6 songs that the album consists of. Nothing compatible here, only experimenting and organic tunes. Just the fact that an album of 6 tracks reaches almost 47 minutes of duration is a proof of its own. Imagine Katatonia and Ghost Brigade flirting with Cult Of Luna while listening to black metal. Still, that is far out of reality..
\r\n
\r\n So, one man behind all this, even the layout and artwork of the cd! Niclas spent the last 3 years composing, gathering ideas and that alone shows his dedication to Six Waves Of Woe but also the status of its quality. The sound section is well taken care of and the result seems tempting to the lovers of the undefined. Whatever I may write about this is still far from Forest Of Shadows’ creation so a careful listening session is mandatory...\r\n
