Halcyon Way - Building The Towers

\r\nThe release of their first album,  "A Manifesto for Domination", on 2008, led the band to support as the open- act many live shows, such as those of Helloween, Death Angel, Symphony X, Kamelot,  Doro Pesch and Strapping Young Lad. Another important point of the band’s story so far is their participation in US ProgPower USA, among other festivals where they have participated; this fest takes place every year and the billing consists of the “top” power/progpower metal bands, mainly coming from the US.
\r\nMoving on, Halcyon Way soon are going to release their new album, “Building The Towers”. There is a line-up change as Steve Braun is now doing the vocals and there is also a guest appearance from Pamela Moore, which is pretty interesting.
\r\nThe songs are heavy/power, prog/power metal based, with heavy, riffing guitars, explosive, solid rhythm section and nice, addicting, vocal melodies. Plus, the synths input add extra points to the songs of the album.
\r\nEven though, Halcyon Way, are progressive power oriented, they are not far from the “classical” heavy/power structures, so this results in a very approachable album both for fans of progressive metal and heavy metal; in a way, they have found a way to connect them. \r\n
