Halford - IV : Made Of Metal

\r\nWell…to write a review about an album that features Rod Halford, especially his own Band, “Halford” isn’t the easiest thing to do, words can’t describe the man himself, so go figure about his music. So this is the 4th strike of Halford, with Roy Z on guitars (like the previous one, “Winter Songs”) and even from the first notes, I cant hide my wide smile and huge satisfaction on this new release. Maybe the comparison between Halford and Judas Priest is such a silly thing to do, but on the other hand , it is something you cant avoid!!! So I strongly believe that “Made Of Metal” should have been the latest Priest Album, excuse me, but as a Priest Maniac all these years, I can’t hide my feelings.

\r\nSo, “Made Of Metal” is just a Heavy Metal album, nothing more, nothing less, inspired compositions, well produced, fresh but in the same time stuck to the tradition. Classic Heavy Metal Structure with some up tempo rhythm section, and some astonishing guitar work both on riffing and solos. There are of course many and over the top vocal melodic lines but I won’t comment on the quality of the voice…this is Halford man!

\r\nWell I have no words, I feel like I want to bang my head even with the shouthern cut “Till The Day I Die” as well as the Flamenco / Spanish cut “Matador”. I can descried with words HUGE epics like “Twenty Five Years” or even the sametitled track that in a some weird way the chorus of it, reminds me the mighty Hawkind (??!!)
\r\n
\r\nWell, just purchase the album, put it on your cd tray push the play button and enjoy HEAVY METAL by the master!
