Hardcore Superstar - Split Your Lip

 One year and a half after the successful release of their latest album “Beg For It” Hardcore Superstar are back with a brand new album hotter than a chick in heat!! They have returned with a statement “Split Your Lip” and they will leave many with their lips (and not only) wide open. Those familiar with Hardcore Superstar already know that, along with their countrymen Crashdiet and Crazy Lixx, are Sweden’s greatest force when it comes to sleaze/Hard Rock. Hardcore Superstar always had the tendency to play heavier (and dirtier) than the other two along with the ability to write hit songs as easy as getting laid with groupies on the backstage! That’s a killer combination if you ask me!
\r\n“Split Your Lip” stinks of sweat, adrenaline and street grown attitude. It’s an uncompromising album from an uncompromising band. Maybe is a bit sleazier and heavier than you can stand. But that’s it. When it comes to the songs, things are pretty clear and straightforward. There’s no room for flowers and romance crap neither for heartbreaking cries begging the chick that left you (probably to sink her teeth into a more “convenient” flesh). What we have here is pure sleaze in your fucking face attitude, some call it reality. Jocke is not holding his tongue, on the contrary he spits out the words with a venomous fury without fear of being impolite or too rude! There’s strength in his voice, you can realize that when he’s wondering “What Did I Do”?, when he realizes that he “Won’t Go To Heaven” or when he talks about “Sadistic Girls” with his sleazy tone that would make even Davey Vain blush!
\r\nI have no more comments on Hardcore Superstar except for the fact that is a love ‘em or Hate ’em case of band. As for me, when I am listening to dynamites like “Last Call For Alcohol” and “Guestlist” I can tell why I really love these guyz! That’s Hardcore Superstar and if you can’t stand them, then “Run To Your Mama”…and leave us alone!
