IMBALANCE - Period Three Implies Chaos

“When it comes to black metal, Norway is just the leading force” That’s a statement nobody can argue with as most of the bands coming from that country are serving that genre very effectively. Imbalance try to make the difference with their debut album releasing a death/thrash mediocrity that I don’t think would make an impression. “Period Three Implies Chaos”  has some interesting thrash metal riffing though the death metal growls make it sound like if you’re listening something closer to band like Satyricon or Dissection than an average thrash metal release. The songs sound powerful and vicious but the lack of melody and the repeating riffing makes it boring very easily. The production is very good concerning the fact that this is a self financed release but this is not enough. After all it’s all about the songwriting and that alone, if you have some good ideas and some good riffing then you have a good album, the production doesn’t really matter. In this part Imbalance need a lot of hard work. After all I think they’ve got skills, let’em put them to use!
