Innocent Rosie - Bad Habit Romance

Innocent Rosie - Bad Habit Romance

\r\nAnother hard rock band hailing from Sweden, knocks our back door with their debut album "Bad Habit Romance". The Swedish seem to be serious on making a tradition of themselves in making bands that play top-quality hard rock and make truely qualitive albums. In the case of Innocent Rosie, things are simple; these guys didn’t make a name of themselves by accident, luck or external help, they fully deserve every positive critic they’ve got until now for the work they did on "Bad Habit Romance".\r\n

\r\nTo be more specific, imagine the combination of later 90’s and 00’s swedish hard rock, Spiritual Beggars, The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies and so on travelling through time and stopping in 1989 to jam with Guns n’ Roses, L.A. Guns and Motley Crue sprinkled by elements of Southern Rock. "Hell unleashed!" some people would say. And they would be correct. To begin with I’ll have to mention the very good work on production which has given the band raw, dirty sound and the Kill Bill like artwork which is something we’ve never seen in a hard rock band. Another worth mentioning is Kaleva’s "Jack Danieled" voice gives Innocent Rosie the extra points they get combined with excellent work on guitar playing by Joel Eliasson. Punk attitude with hard rock music make a hell of a combination here. Last but not least, the band decided not to include a ballad in the tracklisting which was a (pleasant I’d say) surprise for me. The only weak moment that I’ll have to mention is the ninth track "Shine, Shine, Shine" which wasn’t at all bad, but it didn’t fit well with the other ones.\r\n

\r\nSweden seems to have found the meaning in this music that a lot of people have now lost. Innocent Rosie take out a debut album full of promise for the future and remind us what hard rock is all about.    \r\n
