Jaldaboath - Rise Of The Heraldic Beasts

\r\nIs it my idea or there is a mass disorientation even in the music business? There’s no other explanation for this. I really don’t know if the economic crisis or the global unemployment have influenced the minds of the individuals in the dark times we live in, but I know this. The world has gone totally mad! Jaldaboath are not the exception to the rule (in fact they are a fine example). They released an album of crappy folk metal presenting themselves as “Monty Pythons of metal”! They are supposed to play folk metal seen through a humorous point of view based on medieval concepts lyrically and musically, but this is simply ridiculous.
\r\nThe point is that they have nothing to give to the listener, except for a few really good melodies here and there, but if someone wants to listen to serious folk metal melodies there are dozens of exceptional bands out there, why would he listen to this? I am convinced that these guys formed a band just to have a good time! I am sure they find it funny to make a mockery of the middle ages but (being Greek and not British) I fail to see the joke!
\r\nSome of you with increased taste of humor and money to waste might even like them. As for me, since the band doesn’t seem to take themselves seriously why should I do it?
