Karnak Seti - Scars of Your Decay

Karnak Seti plays melodic thrash/death metal and even if their name reminds of Egypt culture they are truly from a nice island of Portugal. These guys self released "Scars of Your Decay" in 2009 but after that Casket Music signed them to officialy release their debut work in 2010.

\r\nAbout their music that Karnak Seti play, you will not find any fresh music or extreme playing in prototype forms but the music they do, they do it well. With references in Swedish death metal scene, European death  metal, with modern thrash riffs completing the whole result, Karnak Seti gives the world their own opinion about modern melodic death metal and even if they don’t crash the waters of originality, at least they don’t disgrace their musicianship like many bands nowdays do. Fast music and slow music parts, long length songs, old death metal parts and ala Opeth forms in melodic parts serving the purpose and at least the listener doesn’t yawn in boredome.
\r\nThe album’s sound is pretty good like this kind of metal needs to and you can listen to the tight instruments clearly. In general there are no problems in sound and performance. The only objection i have is about the music itself in some parts that i found it a little bit     platitudinous.

\r\nThis is not my kind of metal but if i found it a remarkable work, then i think that all fans of this sound must check them out.
