Magnus - Acceptance Of Death

Magnus - Acceptance Of Death

\r\nJust how stuborn can one be to keep moving on with his band, within purely underground borders, even after 24 years from day one? You have got to respect it, especially when you see that the band can indeed do something noticable in this day and age.

\r\n Word is about Magnus, totally unknown to me all this time, hailing from mighty Poland. These dudes claim to be a thrash metal band but fact is, they cannot hide their death metal joints: more than obvious! With furious madness these fellas raise hell with relentless beating that brings old stuff to mind, from old Slayer and Sepultura to Malevolent Creation and Infernal Majesty. Speed is high paced through the most of the album, while song titles like "When you rest 6 feet under" and "Worm" pass on a cult status and the entire package sends the listener many years back, in times of pure rage! Just take a look at the band photos and you’ll see what I mean. They could be Venom’s homies!
\r\n
\r\n The production fully justifies its year of creation and boosts the containing panic and mayhem. Magnus even try some experimenting in the last song "There’s no use lamenting". Got to give them credit for that! Musically you will find no flaws here, it’s purely a matter of taste. You’re either into this kind of stuff or not. They’re pretty good at what they do as long as you’re into early 90’s stuff, beers, wristbands and headbanging. Perhaps, in some kind of severe judgement delirium one could dig their grave but I had a hell of a good time listening to "Acceptance Of Death" over and over again so, hats off! If you’re wearing a leather jacket full of patches do yourself a favour and listen to it!\r\n
