Masterplan - Time To Be King

\r\nConsidering the fact that Jørn is one of my fav singers, I’m very anxious every time a new album he is involved in is about to be released. In addition, a few weeks ago I got enthusiastic when I listened to the single “FAR FROM THE END OF THE WORLD”; I really loved the songs. However, I can t tell for sure if my expectations were that great, but “TIME TO BE KING” didn’t excite me that much.
\r\nWhat can I say regarding Jørn’s vocals ? Only the best. I believe that his performance is one of the most spectacular in the Metal scene; The dark, powerful vocal lines really stand out. Both the guitars and the keyboard parts are full of melodies, in fact the keys play the main role in some songs. “Blow Your Winds” is the song that plays over and over again in my cd player; the riffing is pretty predictable, yet in really blew my mind. This and “Far From The End Of The World” are the best songs of the album, in my opinion.
\r\nIn general, it’s a very nice album, but after Jørn rejoined MASTERPLAN I was expecting a stronger come back from the band.
