Severe Outburst - The Shadow Of Suffering

Severe Outburst - The Shadow Of Suffering

\r\nΤhe fact these dudes hailf from the Netherlands and that the band’s name begins with the word Severe could be promising but they share nothing in common with death metal gods Severe Torture apart from being named Severe Outburst. Even their music’s quality is on the other side of the fence.

\r\n In my opinion it is a huge mistake rushing on the release of your art if you’re not certain that the outcome is worth the trouble. Severe Outburst were formed in 2005 and released their full length after one demo in mid 2010. This may not sound that hasty but the music included in "The Shadow Of Suffering" does! This is a murky, undefined album with a bad vibe. The lads like modern thrash metal but you can barely see it in the album as it’s full of confused ideas. They can make you forget about what you just heard so damn easily, it’s frustrating.
\r\n
\r\n Bad riffing, solos that pop out of nowhere and seem to have no role in the play and a stretched out disorienting flaw are the key element. You can really make no sense, at best this all sounds like five guys jamming over scattered ideas, trying to identify their musical indentity. I can make no relative comparisons simply cuz I’m so damn confused! And what does not help in any way is the ultra BAD production. Dirty sound, failed mixing, it brings those old days to mind, when most demos had a mashed noise for sound. Just when I thought the age of shitty productions is over, this album comes to shake my world...
\r\n
\r\n I do not want to be so frustrating but "The Shadow Of Suffering"  good not keep my attention to its grasp despite the repeated listening sessions. The guys must tighten their material and work a lot on better and fresher ideas so that they may come up with something less confusing that the gordian knot. To the rehearsal room, quick!\r\n
