Sinister Realm - S/T

Sinister Realm - S/T

Sinister Realm hailing from Pennsylvania (USA) and this is their debut album. Although the album has been released on August of 2009, only now we managed to get a full copy of the album, and that’s why we reviewing this album some months after its release.
\r\nSo, what we have here is Epic Heavy metal with doom metal aesthetics and sound, with some polyphonic choruses, mid tempo vibes, and a well bound rhythm section. The album in it’s whole features some great lyrical vocals by Alex Kristof and many melodic lines on guitars, and vocal lines. On a closer audition we realize the great doom guitar riffs as well as the great bass – lines by John Gaffney, for those that this name rings a bell, John has been a part of the latest line up of the legendary doom metal act, Pale Divine, and his is the main writer on this album.
\r\nClosing this review I would like to add that this self titled album by Sinister Realm is an album that would appeal all the friends of the classic heavy metal sound despite their most preferred genre. As for my personal impression, I  d like to admit that I haven’t heard such a great debut for some time now
