Stryper - The Covering

Stryper - The Covering

\r\nΙ can’t understand what happened with  great bands to release cover-albums?For example Manowar adapt themselves with Battle Hymns MMXI and the Stryper’s new album to covering  all great bands who influenced Stryper. It may be you described me fairly caustic to saying that this is another cash-in covers/tribute album. I will stand by my original thought that this is just an album to fulfill their contract with Big3. Nothing more Nothing Less. They figured it would be easier to just do an album of covers to fulfill it.But ‘’what is done cannot be undone’’,so,for all big fans of band you’re welcome to enjoy the new album named  The Covering with Stryper to rocking like early years with help of God.
\r\nThe new STRYPER record The Covering is just that; a record of cover songs by groups that have influenced the band over their 25-year career. The idea came to the band early last year and on February 1, 2011 will be released on Big3 Records. The band sounds great on selections like Heaven and Hell (BLACK SABBATH) and Light Out (UFO) as well as the outstanding Blackout (SCORPIONS) and Highway Star (DEEP PURPLE). To round out the package you also get a brand new track from the band entitled “God”. These songs and bands have played a very important role in our own sound and musicianship and quite possibly we wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for these bands. The song is edgy yet very melodic and reminds me the all classic times of Stryper. I would prefer to expect like an album where include new songs from this great band, but I can’t say that it left me untouched. If you have never even heard much from Stryper it’s better to buying some previous album, but for all big fans who are maniac-collectors with Stryper, you have to buy it.  \r\n
