Toja - Train Of Life

Toja - Train Of Life

\r\nThe band TOJA was new to me till now, but I have to say that I got disappointed after listening to “Train Of Life”. This is the third album from the Germans, via Avenue of Allies. The info sheet refers to Kamelot and Masterplan among others, as this cd should appeal to their fans. This reference, though, has nothing to do with the way this are in this album.
\r\nThe band plays Heavy Rock/ Hard Rock mixed with 80’s Metal. Regardless of the “label” though, this effort is a mediocre. More specifically: the compositions are almost uninspired even though the solos are pretty good, the vocals are flat and lack of nerve, the production is mediocre, the mixing is bad.. . The only song that I liked was the fourth one, “First Love”, which is almost the same with the song “The Wizard” from Black Sabbath.
\r\nI listened to this album many times but unfortunately I didn’t change my mind about it. Plus, I think that the whole feeling is very “retro”.
