Wolfcry - Glorious

Tight roping between pure heavy metal and epic power, Greek Wolfcry return with a “Glorious” album.

The first thing that draw my interest while listening to this promo is the way these guys play. The deal here is purely epic power metal without any smurfs coming in mind when listening. The vocals overflow with testosterone and the riffs with stainless steel. Furthermore there are no keyboards here (except for rare and discreet moments) –There’s just wailing guitars and drum beats that make you wanna bang your head real hard.

If you count yourself among those who seek that something new, if you want the word progressive following the word metal, then this album is not meant for you. To those who are faithful to tradition, just imagine good old Rage with a pinch of Hammerfall. Then find a way to obtain it and listen to it. It’s worth it.

One last thing: The singer hasn’t got the slightest trace of that infamous Greek accent which bothers some people. I insist, it’s worth it.
