When I received this promo cd from I Hate Records, I have to admit that I couldn’t take my eyes off from this awesome cover by Sgraffito, so I though , a release from I Hate records and a cover from Sgraffito, this means that this one will be extremely slow and heavy as f”ck, and thankfully I was right!
\r\nThis is the second release from the outfit The Wounded Kings from the extremely beautiful place of Dartmoor , England, a place that according to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s book is the place where the Hound Of Baskervilles lived and the minimal Occult / Horror aesthetic of the band with this extremely heavy pounding gives me the impression that this beautiful place with it’s swamps and wild life comes alive through my speakers., Down Tempo , atmospheric Occult doom metal in all it’s glory
\r\n“The Shadows Over Atlantis” is and album that you will put in your Cd player tray on Monday and you probably change it after a couple of weeks, since the whole album really haunts you with it’s mesmerizing voice, the haunted melodies and the darkness of it’s compositions… this is a must listen album guys!
