Veer - The Measure OF Waste
\r\nNewcomers Veer originate from Hungary and come from the ashes of Ravenshade, who disbanded in 2007. “The Measure Of Waste” is their first official recording, which may have been released in 2009 but was recorded in 2007, containing even older material.

\r\nVeer play pure black metal, with their influences coming from band classic to the genre, meaning Celtic Frost/Hellhammer, old Mayhem and Darkthrone. As you can see, this album does not contain any keyboards, female vocals or strange experimentations, this is absolutely and solely black metal, with the only kind of variation being the existence of both fast and mid tempo tracks. Moreover, the production is just fine, not too polished but remains distinct so you can hear what the band plays, surely far away from “cult” blurred productions. The lyrics are not into the typical black metal style, instead they engage with topics about the human nature and the flaws it carries.
\r\n
\r\nGenerally “The Measures Of Waste” is an honest black metal album, which is not surpassing its influences but remains true to its sound and surely cannot leave the listener indifferent, all fans of black metal sound should give this album a chance because it’s worth it.
