Dwellers Of The Twilight - Grey
Grey is the name of the debut album from the French band Dwellers Of The Twilight, and what they try to do here is write music with Anaal Nathrakh as their main influence. The result is nine tracks almost identical with each other with no element of surprise. We are listening to chaotic Black Metal which lacks inspiration (no surprise there, since the band’s MySpace informs us that all the songs were composed and recorded within a week) and boredom rules the whole album. Okay, so the band is extreme, the songs acquire the appropriate speeds, the production is at least sympathetic but for better or for worse, those facts don’t necessarily make the band interesting. Grey, is a boring and “flat” album like the tones of those that we are “fed” every day. I really don’t think we need to bother with these French guys anymore…
