Burning Saviours - Nymphs & Weavers

Burning Saviours - Nymphs & Weavers

This is the new album from the Swedish Burning Saviours that keep on playing their perfect 70’s rock for several years now. There’s no doubt, Burning Saviours along with the other Swedish Witchcraft are the best of the kind. Although Andrei left the band after their last album (“Hundus” 1996) the band equipped themselves with new influences like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep  but did not forget the previous ones (Pentagram, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull) and the simply created a “Forgotten” back in the 70’s album.
\r\nProbably the Swedish prepare a whole new wave of 70’s rockers and I m sure more band will follow. Back to the “Nymphs and Weavers” album, as previous said it’s all about 70’s rock with more acoustical guitars, as well as flutes, moog organs and many pagan lyrical themes. In specific parts the tracks are more up-tempo as the previous releases (I thought I heared a double kick somewhere in the CD)
\r\nIt’s a fact that the album released with a little bit delay, and this happened because by the time the cd was ready and promos had been sent, the band decided to boost up the sound of the album, so their Doom rock root will be obvious once more. The Album contains some of their best songs ever, since the time of their demos. For Example tracks like “Pondhillow’s Finest” and “Spellweaver” are not a common phenomenon. (to be honest these songs happen once in a period of 37 years)
\r\nI think that there’s no need to continue with the review, All Haill Bobby Liebling, All Hail Ian Anderson, All Hail Burning Saviours
