Crises - Coral Dreams

Crises - Coral Dreams

\r\nI’m very skeptical when it comes to Nu Metal, modern metal and alternative bands. This is due to two main reasons. Firstly, many bands are so experimental that at the end they completely lose the meaning and second because most of the bands are trying to convince the audience by using, mixing and matching ideas which are coming from other bands.
\r\nOn the other hand, it’s difficult to have your own, personal style when there are so many bands out there. So what matters is to have good ideas and to manage to appeal to the audience, regardless if your music style is something that we have seen over and over again. Crises is a band related to the above; they are not anything new or innovative, but they do have good compositions. They play a kind of crossover between Nu Metal, Alternative Metal with many Rock passages, which make the songs “catchy”. What I really liked, though, is the vocals. I think that they make the difference actually. The harmonies are so rich and vivid, despite of their emotional nature. Just great.
\r\nSo, if you like the modern kind of playing, “Coral Dreams” is an album you should definitely check out and you won’t be disappointed!\r\n
