Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Children of the Dark Waters

Well, this must be one of the not so many times that a gothic metal album gave me something more to remember than a useless depressive atmosphere.
\r\nSo this is the album no 6 by the Finnish outfit Eternal Tears Of Sorrow, under the title “Children Of the Dark Waters” and despite the atmospheric parts this album provides us with some really good keyboard work, that in specific parts sounds close to soundtrack, as well as some black metal parts with blast beats and black metal – alike vocals. Of course the clean vocals are present, vocals that in specific parts remind me of Dan Swano ones, while in other parts sound more “high – pitched”!!!
\r\nI ve been also impressed by the lead and solos of Eternal Tears of Sorrow that sound  so technical for a gothic metal band, moreover the female vocals by Miriam Renvåg  and Heidi Parviainen is a rather positive point to the whole  release and of course the classic Tico – Tico production is a strong feature.
\r\nThe only thing certain is that these guys deliver us despite their good music on “Children of the Dark Waters” some quality, If you dig, get that one you won’t be disappointed.
