Kiske Michael - Past In Different Ways

\r\n

\r\nI think that his return in the metal scene is something that many fans would love to see for years. No doubt, his voice is among the best and the most expressive ones not only for the high-pitched vocals, but also because his performance was touching and it would definitely “rock” you.
\r\n“Past in Different Ways” consists of 11 tracks. Only one of them is new and the rest belong to the Helloween era. The difference is that Kiske approaches the whole thing in an alternative way (ballads). As far as the songs, there are some of them that I like in their new version, and others that I’d rather he had avoid choosing, merely cause they never really excited me anyway. The new track is good, yet to be honest I would’ t push the replay button. If the rating had to do with the above, maybe it wouldn’t’ be that good, and one more reason is that I don’t like it when bands or an artist (individually) chose to cover their own songs. However, when you listen to this voice being is such a good shape, what counts the most as a judging factor is the feeling that he has always been giving us, and you can only focus on how this person sings in the year 2008. Being expressive at all? Not a second thought about it. Being emotional? Yes, in fact a lot. And while being sure that the majority is interested in knowing weather he can sing high pitched notes or not, all I will say is this: if he ever decides to do a heavy metal album, including vocal lines related to that style, many of us will be speechless with the result.\r\n
