Let It Flow - Meanings

\r\nThe second full album of Let It Flow is called "Meanings". The band is\r\nfrom Izmir (Turkey) and unfortunately their fate was not too fair since\r\njust a few days before the release of their album from their label, all\r\nwas cancelled and the band was left without support. But Let It Flow\r\ndidn’t give up and they decided to do something absolutely correct to\r\nmy opinion, so that their efforts would not be lost and their music\r\ncould be heard. They decided to offer their record for free download\r\nand give access to everybody. Since it was impossible for me not to be\r\ntouched by their music, after I heard their album I decided to write\r\nsome lines and I hope I’ll motivate more people to listen to Let It\r\nFlow because after all, this band has only beautiful moments to offer\r\nthrough their songs. Something unique happens in "Meanings". The band\r\nhas achieved to find an amazing balance between Progressive and\r\nAtmospheric sound and the structure of their compositions is such that\r\nthese two genres coexist in harmony and lead to an imposing and nailing\r\nresult. The album includes 13 songs purely melodic, atmospheric,\r\nsentimental, melancholic as well as technical and aggressive. The\r\nband’s main characteristic is the rhythmic riffs and the existence of\r\nmany melodies while each song is developing uniquely and can keep the\r\nlistener devoted and, to be honest, what impressed me is the fact that\r\neach moment is unpredictable and by this I mean that it’s impossible to\r\nknow what follows after a specific bar. Personally, the sound and the\r\nentire attitude of the band reminded me of KATATONIA’s "The Great Cold\r\nDistance" but I surely believe that Let It Flow have found their own\r\nidentity in a very short time and they have no need to copy or anything\r\nelse. Apart from this, Ozgun Akay’s vocals are more than excellent and\r\ncolor the songs while the existence of many lead parts as well as\r\nsolos, which always hide a sense of melancholy, are those that complete\r\nthe songs. "Meanings" can be described by just one word: Masterpiece!\r\nIn times when quality works are not that usual, Let It Flow come and\r\nshake the tranquility waters, offering us a unique creation which is a\r\nmedley of inspiration, feelings and melody. It’s really unfair this\r\nwork to stay unknown. Surrender to the magical trip of Let It Flow here.\r\n
