NACHTGESCHREI - Am Rande der Welt

\r\nNACHTGESCHREI is another one folk metal band with lost of melodies, Celtic elements and dancing rhythms which create such a pleasant feeling. Their ideas in the compositions and in the way that they instrument each song are good but the lyrics which are in german is something that may unplease some people. That doesn’t have to do exclusively with the language but also with the melodic lines of the vocals, because in some spots the songs sound a bit weird in relevance to the musical background. This becomes more obvious somewhere in the middle of the album where the use of german turns out to be “heavy” enough in reference to their musical style. Furthermore, apart from the vocals section, they emphasize more on the whole folk thing so the compositions, even though they are catchy enough, don’t have clear musical themes. In other words, what’s missing is the characteristic riffing or the intense bass-lines to name a couple of elements which feature a metal album.
\r\nThey remind bands such as FALCONER, CRUACHAN and IN EXTREMO. For those who like this music genre they won’t be disappointed, that’s for sure. NACHTGESCHREI don’t have any reasons to "envy" the bands mentioned above or any others of this musical style. \r\n
