The Rotted - Get Dead Or Die Trying

\r\nThe Rotted are the beloved Gorerotted who have changed their name. With their new name and a fresh attitude which breezes through everything the British release their debut album entitled Get Dead Or Die Trying. I confess I didn’t expect to be impressed just because bands like The Rotted are all around. But to my surprise they proved me completely wrong. Given the past of the band the genre is Grindcore with a few Death Metal parts but also a few Punk influences to give a Napalm Death effect. The album consists 11 tracks within which the band makes sure it spills its soul out in a unique way. The main characteristic of the songs is speed and aggression on one hand, and the dark atmosphere and a constricted melancholy on the other hand stemming from some leading guitar parts. Actually this is what makes the band stand out from others in this genre. Catchy melodies have no place here. Just the feeling of the extreme The Rotted open handed. We also need to point out that the band gives extra emphasis on technique since many songs are made of complex riffs which demand that you dedicate time in the listening process. Vocal are exclusively brutal sand are totally equivalent to those of other bands. The Rotted are the new force in British extreme sound and will be loved by the fans of bands like Napalm Death, Carcass, Discharge etc.\r\n
