Searching For Calm - Celestial Greetings

\r\nWell, we‘ve\r\ngot some cool and minimal artwork here….so lets spin it to see what we will\r\nfinally get. Searching For Calm are coming from Poland (what a nice surprise!) and they\r\ngot their second album entitled “Celestial Greetings” via Mystic Production.\r\nWhat we deal with is more than experimental. Imagine a mixture of The Dillinger\r\nEscape Plan with The Mars Volta and …Sonic Youth! The sound is not extreme,\r\nthough. The guitars are more ala Refused and they step more on the rock and\r\nroll path than the metal one. They actually reminded me of Fugazi’s “Repeater”\r\nand the early days of At The Drive In. There are some short outbursts though,\r\ndon’t get them wrong. They should just leave their post punk influences behind\r\nand start making it heavy as it should (and as they could, these guys have\r\npotential). Cool for a misty afternoon and good company but certainly not the\r\ntune you will rip your head with. Hope they will get much more into hardcore\r\nand start screming like Converge and Rorschach. I am sure that this is the kind\r\nof stuff that spins on their decks. Get angry guys! Plus we have got cool sound\r\nproduction and a Talking Heads cover(..this was really unnecessary….). Give it\r\na try.\r\n
