THE FORESHADOWING - Oionos

The Foreshadowing - Oionos

This is the second release for the Italian outfit  The Foreshadowing and the album is entitled “Oionos”, although the album is  a part of a genre that tends to be so difficult to pick an album due too the many releases in it, these Italians even by the first listening of  “oionos” sound like they own something that really got me.
\r\nTheir music is melodic, down tempo, atmospheric doom metal in the vain of My Dying Bride (with clean vocals) , Anathema, Katatonia and other bands of the genre and the whole output helps the auditor to travel into the darkest depths of his mind and soul, but with descent riffing and the really superb voice of Marco Benevento that reminds me of Mike Stanne’s clean vocals (Dark Tranquillity) and Dave Gahan’s vocal especially during the “Songs Of Faith And Devotion” era (Depeche Mode).
\r\nYou can find many keyboards on the background and a structure that unfolds slowly during the whole album
\r\nAt this point I’d like to mention that the artwork has been made by Seth, something that is visible even from the first glance at the cover artwork ,plus the fact that in a specific track there is a Greek narration, moreover there is a great cover on Stings “Russians” that Foreshadowing worked it great to fit their sound.
\r\nThis is really a descent release that for sure the fans of this sound will check!!!
