Inmost Ego - When Roses Fall

Inmost Ego - When Roses Fall

\r\nInmost Ego appeared in the musci scene for the first time on 2007 with the demo “A Moment before”, two years after the band was formed. After changing their line –up, they have a brand new EP , which is entitled “When Roses Fall” and it contains four songs. Inmost Ego combine ideas, which vary from atmosperic, gothic, melodic death, to alternative metal as in each song you can find a different mixture of these genres. They don’t have some specific musical orientation, something that from my perspective is really interesting.
\r\nConcerning the compositions, what’s very positive is the keyboards’ field and the atmosphere that they create, the production, which is on a good level, the good ideas that the band has, in general, however, the less impressive thing in here is the vocals. Their singer has an excellent and imposing performance on the brutal vocals, but her singing on the clean vocals is not on the same level and she sounds as if she sings out of tune. I think that if she tried only brutal vocals or different vocal pitch, the result would definately be better.
\r\nLast but not not least, the artwork, and the spectacular cover of the cd (made by Alan Fall), totally fits the dark mood and the lyrics of the songs.
