Iron Fire - Metalmorphosized

Iron Fire - Metalmorphosized

With the release of their 6th studio album the Danish Power Metallers Iron Fire\r\nare celebrating a decade of devotion to the genre they serve. \r\n“Metalmorphosized” is in fact an anniversary release consisting of old \r\nre-recorded tracks that, for some reason, the band had never released in\r\nthe past (mostly taken from demos) along with 4 new tracks recorded for\r\nthis exact purpose.
\r\nAs for the music, unfortunately here things are not that exciting. It’s \r\nnot the fact that Iron Fire aren’t performing well is just that their \r\nPower Metal left me completely unimpressed. Of course they have all the \r\npower metal cliché like galloping rhythms and melodic solos and the well\r\nestablished fantasy concepts but these are not enough to make an \r\nimpression especially when you have listened to all this again and again\r\nby the famous bands of the genre and in a more convincing way (no \r\noffence). There’s not much about riffing either but the real deal is \r\nMartin Steene’s powerful vocals, I think that’s the reason why he’s the \r\nonly original Iron Fire member.
\r\nWell, to be honest, there are a couple of songs like “The Underworld” \r\nwith its interesting female vocals and the smashing “Left For Dead” that\r\nreally manage to stand out but this alone is not enough to change my \r\nopinion for the album. So those of you listening to every power metal \r\nrelease, give these gents a chance. The rest of you…look for something \r\nelse.
\r\nP.S. If I read again that Iron Fire sounds like the mighty Running Wild, whoever responsible will be hanged, drown and quartered!
