Loathe - Despondent by Design

\r\nI knew from the first place that this would be boring...
\r\nUnfortunately i was right.
\r\nWell maybe that review’s intro seems dissapointing but not everything is bad here.
\r\nLet’s see what Loathe from Malta has to offer.
\r\n
\r\nThey are an eleven years old band since 1999 and Despondent by Design  is their first album.
\r\nThis is a bit odd as they exist for many years but they have released 3 e.p in the past time.
\r\nThese gentlemen from Malta play a mix of deathcore, death metal, crossover thing. I cannot say
\r\nthat they won my appreciation with this music they play. It never was my style and this album,
\r\ncause it lacks of fresh ideas, it didn’t make it. Although the production is quite good, it suffers
\r\nthe classic death metal problem. High compression...as It makes the production more dull. You
\r\nwill not find extreme techniques, extreme guitar shredding neither highest quality modern
\r\nmusic.

\r\nIt is clear that these guys compose and play their music based on groove and headbanging.
\r\nThis is music for the moshpit. Everything is classic sounded except vocalist that
\r\ni didn’t like him. Maybe it’s his high toned parts that i found them out of the concept.
\r\nFinaly we have an album mostly for core fans thats lacking of freshness and the ability to
\r\npunch the mediocrity of others. A little bit boring and outdated with some good parts.
