Revelation - ...Yet So Far

Revelation - ...Yet So Far

Some days ago when the whole team of metalzone gr was gathered for the regular cup of coffee and the dirty work of sharing the promo CDs, from the corner of my eye I saw two Revelation cds
\r\nSo let me begin with the first one, which is the remastered re release of their 3rd album “...Yet So Far” via Shadow Kings Records, that originally has been released in 1995 through Hellhound Records.
\r\nThese Americans without any doubt belong to the classic doom metal scene and they made their such a strong name due too their first three releases, these album was also the reason that many fans consider Revelation as one cult doom metal band of the 90’s.
\r\nThis specific album was the only album to be released with the vocals of Dennis Cornelius that took over after the departure of John Brenner that in 2007 returned to the band till today. This was also the first release of the band with Jim Hunter (Lord Vicar, October 31, Twisted Tower Dire,While Heaven Wept,)  on bass guitar,
\r\nThere are not many things to be said about this album since this is a “diamond” of the metal discography with doom laden riffs and a very unique feeling Personally I still wonder why this band from Maryland with such releases never had the chance to be wider known and still remains on the “cult” bands list. “...Yet So Far” is an album that I recommend without any hesitation as well as the first two album of the band “Salvation’s Answer” and “ Never Comes Silence”.
