US Christmas - Run Thick In The Night

\r\nWhoever has\r\nany heart problems should not bother listening to this record. Just listen to\r\nme…After having listened to the new USX record entitled “Run Thick In The\r\nNight” it just felt that I got divorced or even worse that I turned into a\r\nwidower. The riffs and the way they are combined with the lyrics…They are all\r\nso touching! This album triggers the senses, but also wakes your dark side up,\r\nso better listen to it alone. Psychedelic gloom/Swans/Neurosis/ Killing Joke/\r\nBlack Sabbath/ Orchid meet your inner self here. It is up to you to decide what\r\nside you like best. It sounds as if Hawkwind would turn metal and play Neurosis\r\ncovers. Now it seems right….They got Scott Kelly’s attention (what do you mean\r\nwho he is?) and they are now producing their stuff through Neurot Recordings.\r\nThe record spins, the riffs are off, drone but not doom, dark but not\r\ntraditional metal, melodic but no cheerful at all, sore throat vocals that seem\r\nto be desperate cries, powerful yet so inspiring, so touching….I’ve still got\r\nthe slide feedback in my ears. The great sound was managed by Sanford Parker\r\n(yeah, he is the best by far) and this was also an element of success in this\r\ngreat work of art. I have only one thing to say: “Far away from your cold\r\ntwisted reach, living under your black could of sleep. And always one eye\r\nbehind, far away from your shadow…Away from your cold twisted reach…”\r\n
