Whirling - Faceless Phenomena

Whirling - Faceless Phenomena

Whirling come from Sweden and they play a strange thing like dark, avant garde, post black
\r\nmetal in the veins of the mighty Ved Buens Ende and Virus. I totaly didn’t know about them
\r\nand where they came from until they pierced our musical society with their debut album
\r\n"Faceless Phenomena" and i think that we have a new top quality album and band.
\r\n
\r\nThe only thing i know about Whirling is that they have bassist of Armagedda singing in this album. But what counts the most is that we have great music here. This is their first album as already said and it comes in a perfect and totaly appropriate production in a ved buens ende mood with clear guitars and a "rockish" mood in distorton just to make the whole result much much better, giving some space to the great voice and the bass. Drumming is just wonderful...Different ideas, multiple opinions, slow or fast intense drumming in an unique accuracy. Paranoid atmosphere, twisted mood, dark low tunes, a sense of real black metal spirit, hatred, balanced in an amazing way. Records like this make me think deeper the idea that some musicians has the gift to write some top music and they don’t even try for this. They just have this simple imagination that makes the difference in every level.
\r\n
\r\nGreat start for this band. A beggining that many will remember. These guys presumed to
\r\ntouch the feeling of the old avant garde bands in a great way. You definitely must check
\r\nthem.
